Quick Trip...Virginia, Louisiana, Wedding

September found us taking a very quick trip to Louisiana and Virginia. When we learned that Caitlin, daughter of Tech friends Becky and Joe, would get married on Daddy and Mother's anniversary, we decided that would be the time frame for our trip. Our hopes were that Flint's family would make their first trip to Louisiana, but that was not to be.

The Virginia visit revolved around Malia's softball games.

The Senior shirt says it all for Kealani.

Sisters...our nieces

Siblings-Gary, Wendy, and Flint.
 Kurt, we missed you.

Tough guys!

The Chinese dinner
Did we have enough to eat?

Daylight Donuts in Ruston
One of our favorite places to stop by before we visit my lifelong
friend, Wanda, who has the coffee ready.

Wanda gave us a bottle of Red Gold ketchup the day before.
We didn't remember ever seeing it, then when we stopped to eat catfish
after visiting my sister who was in the hospital on her birthday,
what brand was served with the hush puppies, but Red Gold?

The beautiful bride and the lucky groom

The groom and his grandmother-in-law
Tommie can't be beat! I'm sure we'll have glowing
descriptions of Aaron when we get to know
him better.

Dear friends Ed and Karen

Two more dogs to lounge around with Flint as we picked up JP's
three and Jennifer's two (small ones in front) from the kennel.

Dear cousins

Although our time was brief, we stayed busy. We did not get to visit with or talk to half the people we should have, and I didn't have the camera ready for all occasions. Katha and Carley's children and grands had gathered for Carley's big birthday. Kristie thought we were in town for the surprise party and that we were just saying that we were going to a wedding. Wish we could have made it to both events!

I departed before Flint this time enroute to Lourdes, France, and took the camera. He managed one football game, and it was a good one. Louisiana Tech lost by two points to Texas A & M.
